A one-year national initiative to adopt 100 miles of streets across America.
Italian American clubs, charities, families, and community organizations are invited to adopt streets in their local communities and participate in a year-long effort to improve neighborhoods across the country.
1 of 100 miles adopted
It started with a single mile. Christopher Alghini and Frank Scalise adopted 20th Street in Phoenix's Biltmore neighborhood — clearing litter, planting pride, and proving that one community's commitment can spark something far larger.
The Clean Streets Initiative was born from the belief that Italian Americans have always built their neighborhoods with care. From the Little Italys of the early 1900s to the suburbs and cities of today, our community has never stopped investing in the places we call home.
Now we are asking Italian Americans across the country to join us. Adopt a street in your city. Organize a cleanup. Document your effort. Together, we can adopt 100 miles of streets and leave a mark on every community we call ours.
