Who We Are
The Alghini Institute for Italian Americans (AIIA) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 99-0439703) dedicated to preserving Italian American heritage through education, cultural research, and digital archiving initiatives. Founded to ensure that the contributions, traditions, and lived experiences of Italian Americans are documented and celebrated, the Institute serves as a centralized resource for families, researchers, and educators alike.
The organization is committed to safeguarding immigrant stories, genealogical records, and cultural history for future generations. Through its digital archive, educational publications, and community storytelling programs, the Institute creates a lasting record of the Italian-American experience — from the waves of immigration that shaped American cities to the cultural traditions that continue to define Italian-American identity today.
