Italian American family histories include migration, work, language, and community life. This site offers a place to explore those histories and contribute accounts of your own.
The Alghini Institute introduces a home for Italian American history, family stories, and research resources.
A Modern Approach to Heritage
We designed the site to make articles, sources, and family-history resources easy to find and read.
The Three Pillars of the Site
The platform is built around three key areas designed to provide value and clarity to every visitor, with more on the way.
1. The Resource Hub: Clarity in Connection
Our resource directory links to public archives, official citizenship information, and cultural organizations. Begin with the Institute’s guides, then consult the original sources for your research.
2. The Living Legacy Blog
The blog covers Italian American history, culture, family research, and community stories.
3. The Community Preview
At the site’s February 2026 launch, this section introduced a community preview. For current information about the heritage archive, visit the community page.
Looking Forward
We aim to keep these resources accessible and to build the collection through research and community contributions.
Welcome to the Alghini Institute. The legacy continues here.
